How to choose the right label?

Here are the questions you need to ask yourself in order to choose the best paper for your label…

“What kind of activity do you work in? What product do you use your label for? What is the range of this product, is it rather inexpensive or high-end?” All of this information will help us advise you better on the choice of paper.

Is your label intended to be affixed to a bottle, flask or jar? Is your product packaged in a cardboard box? Or in a biodegradable packaging? Knowing the support on which the label will be applied, we are able to advise you on the most suitable papers and thus avoid any mistakes in choosing!

The choice of adhesive depends mainly on the intended use and directly affects the label paper. For example, some of our clients want to reuse their bottle or jar, so we recommend our water-removable labels. Others, on the contrary, want a good adherence, so most of our papers have a permanent adhesive, offering a wider range of choices. Our labels on sugarcane paper respond well to this constraint.

Are the products on which your labels will be used in humid conditions (such as refrigerated storage or selling at markets)? Or do your products remain dry? Will their packaging be subjected to friction? All of this information will allow us to guide you in choosing a label. For example, mineral paper withstands moisture well or ice bucket-resistant paper. On the other hand, water-removable labels should be avoided in such conditions!

You have the choice between manual installation and automatic installation. In the case of manual installation, the direction of winding is not too important. If you are using automatic installation, you must specify the winding direction of the machine (numbers range from 1 to 8, inner or outer winding). You must also indicate the width of the mandrel and, if applicable, the maximum diameter of the coil.

Regarding the shapes of your label, you have almost complete freedom. We have standard round or rectangular shapes with sharp or rounded corners, or even specific shapes already created that do not require any additional cost in the quote. For specific shapes that are not yet created, an additional fee will be indicated in the quote. This fee is only payable for the first order and can be reused without additional charge.

“When you specify the format of your label, the first number corresponds to the width direction in the roll. The second number corresponds to the height in the feed. If your format does not match a shape we already have (for standard shapes), we will provide you, in addition to the quote for the exact format you specified, an additional quote for the closest existing shape.”

If you have multiple models in the same format, we can include them in the same production to reduce your costs. So, do not hesitate to let us know!
